WHEREAS Club 20 has seen the imminent need to support, nurture and heal vulnerable citizens suffering from behavioral health and substance abuse issues, and understanding the importance of decreasing record-level suicide rates in our community, and;
WHEREAS Recognizing the existing infrastructure to be distressingly inadequate in meeting the increasing behavioral health needs of our community,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Club 20 supports efforts to secure, build and operate a Crisis Stabilization Unit to include walk-in services, adequate number of in-patient beds, and expanded psychiatric hospitals on the Western Slope.
