WHEREAS our education system has historically been viewed in a compartmentalized fashion whereby Preschool, K-12 and Post-Secondary institutions operate independently of each other, and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that CLUB 20
Believes that education should be a seamless process from pre-school through post-secondary stages, with the shared goal at all levels being the development of workforce-ready graduates who are able to compete effectively in a global economy, and providing a clear path for high school graduates to enter the workforce, careers of their choice, or post-secondary studies, and
Believes that the financial investment which Colorado makes in education – from Preschool, through K-12 and Post-Secondary education – should support such a collaborative, cooperative, and integrated education system and the ultimate goal of developing workforce-ready graduates.
Encourages more programs that allow high school students to participate in and receive credit for college level courses.
Encourages state legislators to create incentives for private sector businesses to become more involved in educational partnerships and to explore opportunities to make higher education less expensive for students.
