WHEREAS the Governor’s Office currently funds the position of a Western Colorado Business Development Representative within the Colorado Office of Economic Development, and WHEREAS the Western Slope is a unique economic region and benefits from having a professional within the Office of Economic Development assigned specifically to promote this economy; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that CLUB 20 supports continued funding for the position of Western Colorado Business Development Representative within the Colorado Office of Economic Development, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that CLUB 20 urges that this position remain focused on promoting economic development in rural Colorado, and that candidates for this position have experience in economic development and a familiarity with rural Colorado.
