AG – 08 – 2-Horses (Unwanted), Humane Disposal Of

WHEREAS there are an increasing number of unwanted horses; and WHEREAS there is no market for unwanted horses except to transport them to other countries (i.e. Mexico and Canada) to process for human or animal consumption; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that CLUB 20 supports the reopening or development of equine harvesting facilities: and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that CLUB 20 supports federal and/or state funding for Food Safety Inspection Service inspectors in facilities that harvest unwanted horses
