CLUB 20 Policy Committee Structure

CLUB 20 has four standing committees: Business Affairs, Natural Resources, Tourism and Transportation.  Under these committees are seven subcommittees. Business Affairs subcommittees include Health Care, Higher Education and Telecommunications.  The Natural Resources subcommittees are Agriculture, Energy, Public Lands and Water.

Any CLUB 20 member can participate in any committee.  The committees meet twice a year before the spring and fall membership meetings.  Participation includes being able to propose and vote on proposed policy resolutions.  Any resolution approved at the subcommittee level will be reviewed by the appropriate standing committee.  If approved at the level, the Board of Directors will review all proposed resolutions at either the fall meeting in September or the spring meeting in March.

Committees may meet more than twice a year, at the discretion of the committee chairman or the Chairman of the Board.  Interim committees and task forces also are convened at the Board Chairman’s discretion when an issue merits further discussion.  If the interim committee or task force develops proposed policies, the proposals will proceed through the usual committee and Board approval process.
